The Comprehensive Plan is the City’s "roadmap to the future." It contains a future land use map, and goals and policies that provide guidance to the City as we grow and change to meet the demands of a growing region.

Comprehensive Plan Background and Links to Plan
The State Growth Management Act requires that cities plan for future growth. SeaTac's Comprehensive Plan outlines the City's policy with respect to growth in each of the following areas:
In addition to the City's growth policies, demographic and other background information pertaining to SeaTac is provided in the Background Reports.
Comprehensive Plan Map
The Comprehensive Plan Map sets land use policy by establishing areas of the City for residential use, commercial use, etc. Where these categories differ from the current zoning, the Comprehensive Plan establishes a potential for a property to be rezoned, if owners apply for a rezone, and required conditions can be met.
Current Comprehensive Plan (Adopted June 23, 2015).
The SeaTac Comprehensive Plan consists of ten chapters ("elements"). Each element is linked below. A series of related Background Reports contains demographic information (Housing and Human Services Background Report), information about population and employment forecasts (Land Use Background Report) and other factual information supporting the Plan's policies. SeaTac’s Comprehensive Plan also includes three Subarea Plans, which are like Comprehensive Plans in that they address a variety of topics (e.g., land use, transportation, urban design) but apply to a specific geographic area of the City. SeaTac’s three adopted Subarea Plans are:
• The City Center Plan, adopted December, 1999. Note: Portions of the City Center Plan were amended through the 2010 Comprehensive Plan Amendment Process.
• The S. 154th St. Station Area Action Plan, adopted December, 2006.
• The Angle Lake District Station Area Plan, adopted July 28, 2015
